Hey guys, can you look through our totes tomorrow and find out how many encoders we have altogether?

We have about three that are testable, the others have disks that are too damaged. Also, can you remind me why the encoders have two input channels?

The two channels are so the controller knows which way the encoder is turning. Think of it like a quarter of a byte that either counts up or down. Tell Randy that we'll need to order more.
