In 2015 a new control system will be implemented to replace the cRIO in FRC robots. This new control system has been been developed by National Instruments, the creator of the cRIO. National Instruments will announce more information in August. So far the information released has been info posters present at the 2013 FIRST Championship and an image of the PCB without any electronics attached to it. All three currently supported languages of LabView, C++, and Java will continue to be supported by the new control system.

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117359There will be most likely 20 General Purpose I/O channels that handles standard sensors and speed controllers and 8 solenoid channels for pneumatics as guessed by one mentor

The last major control system change was in 2009 with the introduction of the cRIO. I wish those on the team in 2015 best of luck with designing and programming around the new control system.
