knowing commands can be configured and assigned to shortcuts is not the same as having a list of those commands to peruse or search. try to guess what those commands are can be frustrating
from reading this
http://zedapp.org/2014/06/zed-usage/ it clear that the app has a big brother complex, and squirrels away every single keystroke and command executed and sends this to the developers to further the development effort. kudos for that. good idea. now lets get a little bit of payback for all that free data, and put it to some use.
it would be good if there was some way to use all the analytics information that is collected to allow each user to view a log of what they have done recently, so they can then figure out how to repeat those accidental things that work in your favor.
or just figure out what frickin command is that (for example) collapses a curly brace when you click it with the mouse/touchpad. now if you could view your history it would be simple. click and look in the log. then you can figure out what the assigned key is for that command and either change it or assign it.
most programmers are intelligent and intuitive and know how to look through logs an find solutions to their day to day problems. if only those logs were easily viewable
rant over.
