Connecting to a remote server.

I've been using a chromebook for ages and I can't believe I've only discovered Zed. 

It looks great but I don't understand how to go about connecting to my server at Just host.

I usually connect with an ftp client using linux on my chomebook. Are there any docs I can read about how to go about connecting to a directory on my server?
