What is the problem? Please be detailed.
I have a modified ODK zebra printer driver in android studio. When I run and deploy the app directly to my tablet, it installs and prints the barcode labels correctly. This is not the case when I build the apk through Build menu >> Build Bundle/APKS >> APKs or through Build menu >> Generate signed Bundle/ APK >> APK.
I try to install the apk generated and get the error 'Application not available'.
ODK collect is updated frequently and it now has a nice user friendly interface.
Unfortunately other powerful ODK tools eg. ODK zebra printer and ODK sensors have been neglected. Currently these 2 tools are no longer in google play store. I believe I and other people using these tools would be very grateful if they are updated as often as ODK collect and made available.
Thanks in advance
zebra zxp series 3 driver download
I'm sorry the removal of the Zebra printer driver app from the Play Store has been disruptive to you. It has been hard to maintain and use secondary apps like that. We're hopeful that bringing printing directly into Collect will make it approachable to more users.
The next step was to use NI Visa Driver Wizard to identify the zebra USB printer which was already plugged in with its Zebra windows drivers installed. Using the wizard you get the product ID and vendor ID for the printer and can let then the wizard create a driver for you.
However, . . . windows 10 would not allow installation of the device driver created by NI-VISA because it did not have a digital signature. At the moment, this is a huge issue for me since I do not have a certification to "sign" drivers.
Hello,
I am running into an odd issue with ZXP series 3 card printer. HR is using an HP laptop and is connecting to a Dell6000 docking station via a USB-C cable and the ZXP3 is connected to the docking station through a USB cable. About once every 2 weeks the printer will stop responding to printing requests and the print queue will fill up and then the HR person will come to me to fix it.
Once I get to the computer and open control Panel>Printers and Devices there are is usually a printer called ZXP Series 3 printer and at least 1 other printer called ZXP series 3 Printer (copy 1). Sometimes when they are printing the cards they choose the copy one and it works other times they choose the original and it works but inevitably they both stop working.
Is there a way to avoid having to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers everytime? I assume that the copies of the printer are coming from HR disconnecting their laptop to the docking station to take it to meetings in the conference, maybe restarting her computer at some point in the conference room, and then coming back to their office and connecting back to the docking station.
Does anyone have any recommendations for what I should do?
Worldship is compatible with most thermal label printers that will print 4" x 6" and 4" x 8" labels, as well as standard desktop laser and inkjet printers. Follow the documentation that comes with the printer to install the correct driver and for setup instructions.
Windows 11: If you have the ZDesigner version 8 driver, and are not seeing the printer on the "Printers and Scanners" page of your computer, open up the Zebra Setup Utilities tool to manage the printer from there.
For MacOS, you will need to install CUPS since Zebra does not officially support MacOS as there are no drivers available. See this article for the steps. Note that this can be very complicated and highly technical. If possible, we recommend keeping things simple and using Windows for Zebra printing. Printing on MacOS will also have lower quality due to there not being any native drivers.
If a message comes up saying that the driver has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP, select the Continue Anyway option. The wizard should continue the install. Select Finish when this is done.
It also shows notifications to show the file was sent to the printer correctly and as these files from Amazon are ZPL (raw printer code) they will print clearly and correctly no matter what driver or app you use to send them to the printer.
I also found that the DropPrint app from the Peninsula Driver will also work with Apple's built in drivers without installing the Peninsula printer driver. Although the Peninsula Driver allows you to print from many other websites that do not support printing on a Mac (not just ones that supply ZPL files).
You can try FixZPL from
www.fixzpl.com, it has been the only solid solution that works in OSX. We use it to print to our Zebra ZP500 Plus label printer to print Amazon ZPL Labels, we use it with FedEx and FedEx Labels. It works great and all the labels print crisp and professional. The best part is that its not a plugin or driver and I no longer need my old Windows machine to process shipments. Plugins and Drivers are not needed as ZPL drivers are already installed in OSX all you need is the software to process the Zebra ZPL file correctly. All you do is drag and drop your ZPL files onto it and the labels print in seconds. So far FixZPL has been the only professional solution I have found that works 100% in OSX Yosemite.
I use this printer on my Mac for Endicia label printing. Under some of the settings in the printer setup in that program it gives you the option to use built-in drivers, select that option and it should print.
I guess there is a normal Windows printer driver for this Zebra printer? Would it not be possible to just print a ZPL string that you assign to an Edit Box on a Form or Report? It seems that you can do something similar when printing from Word to a Zebra printer.
Hi Joanne
Is the problem now to send ZPL-instructions to a printer (knwo by UnifAce) or select a printer to which the data should be sent?
Independend of this: ZPL is a sequence of statments coded in ASCII. so there should now problem to send this via UnifAce to a printer.
One of our customers uses SLP-printers (Seiko instruments) and with them there is (workplace-side) driver.
By this driver, you can list all avaible (SLP-) printers, select them and print to it.
All done by simple 3GL calls in UnifAce
The printers are defined with textonly driver (so no specific Zebra printer driver). We prepare the file in Uniface, save it on the server and then we lauch a OS shell that print the file through the standard Linux print facility.
The driver for the Zebra GK420d printer is located on a disc that came with the printer in its original packaging. Insert the disc into an appropriate drive and follow the instructions in the documentation, which is also included on the disc. If the disc is no longer available, download the ZebraDesigner driver 32/64 bit. Certified for Windows. driver shown here from the Zebra GK420d Printer Support page:
At this point, you have installed the driver itself and now need to configure it for your specific printer. Select your printer model from the list. If you're using the most recent supported Heartland Retail hardware, you should choose ZDesignerZD410-203dpiZPL.
Once driver installation is complete, navigate to Control Panel >> Devices and Printers, then right click on your printer and select Printer Properties. Click Print Test Page ... if a test page prints, you have successfully installed your printer.
