BI / Big Data Specialist
Location: Emeryville, CA
Duration: 6 months
This position will entail working with exciting cross-functional teams from Product, Engineering, QA, Operations and Professional Services. As a member of the Big data development team, you are responsible for the engineering, deployment and support of all aspects of big data and analytics.
Desired skills & experience
1. 5+ years of experience building scalable data-driven applications
2. Experience taking complex statistical and data mining concepts and
converting them into maintainable, scalable, and high-performance code.
3. Experience with one or more relational databases - MySQL, Postgres,
Oracle
4. Experience working with NoSQL and distributed computing tools a plus
(Hadoop, Hive, BigQuery, Mongo, HBase and Spark)
5. Fluency with one of these programming languages: Java, Scala or Python
6. Passion for new technologies and driven to build the best products
7. Ability to take a product from concept to reality (model, code and
deliver)
8. Understanding of Saas based analytics solutions like GA, Sitecatalyst
is big plus.
