Dear All,

Can a company appoint a chartered accountant firm as its statutory auditor in case his relative is doing its internal audit.

Hi Sakshi,

See as per my understanding, under related party... legal firms are exempted from the purview of sec 297, for audtors firms i will check and get back to you on this.

Many Thanks,
Veron

Heyee Veron,

Pls chk out section 144 of CA, 2013. As per me if the relative of the CA firm is doing internal audit then the other relative cannot be appointed as statutory auditor. Pls confirm, if my understanding is correct.

Thanks in advance.
