Hi,
I am writing code for Ar plasma jet with a mixture of dry air and water. I am following the literature "Kinetic modelling for an atmospheric pressure argon plasma jet in humid air" written by W Van Gaens and A Bogaerts 2013  and also N2/O2 mixture from example. I tried to run preprocessor it shows following error:

I have included H2O^+ species under the species section.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there kinet.inp file available for Ar/H2O mixture available?

Thank you.

Regards,
Gandhari

Hi,
I have attached my Bolsig section and species section of my kinetic file. Please let me know if I need to make any changes.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Gandhari

Hello,

Did you close the SPECIES section with END ? If yes, try to comment some some species to see where is the problem.

Hi Nicolas,

Thank you for your email. The reactions involving H2O^+ do not have cross-section data so I removed it and ran the program.

Also, I was wondering how do I include air impurities: 10 ppm O2/N2, 1ppm H2O
,  and change water concentration to 50ppm, 100ppm, H2O, etc. in my master code?
Is there a way to convert "ppm" concentration into cm-3 density?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Gandhari

Hi,

1 ppm = 10^-6 = 0.0001%
Thus: N ppm = density(impurity) / density(Ar).
