Between bouts of collective globetrotting, z'Bumba returns to Mississippi Pizza this Saturday! Catch 'em before one or the other of 'em jets off to the other half of the globe.
z’Bumba brings the spirited, accordion-driven music known as Forró (fo-HOH) from Brazil’s Northeast to the American Northwest.
Often likened to Zydeco or Cumbia, Forró is a tasty stew of Afro-Brazilian rhythm and bittersweet, baroque melodies with a healthy dose of percussion.
The dance is easy and fun, doesn’t require heels, feathers, and a biquini, and forró dance experts will be on hand to get you started.
Cangaçeiros in costume always get in free!
Special musical guests? Original material?! Other surprises? Only one way to find out!
