Hello fellow ZBT Alpha Nu member from Muhlenberg (2 of 2),

 

My name is Lary Mars, ZBT brother class of '82. I graduated as the very first Computer Science Major at Muhlenberg College in 1982.  

 

Thanks so a few volunteers, we've been able to gather up some additional email addresses since my first email last week.  I hope that within the next week or so, we can gather up many many more email addresses of our brothers. Alpha Nu brothers from both Zeta Beta Tau and Phi Epsilon Pi.  Yes, we have active brothers from back in the '50s.

 

If you have not heard about THAW in the past, I will share briefly what it means to me.  It stands for Toast Heard Around the World. (THAW).  I have hosted the Colorado THAW for the past six years.   There is NO sales pitch.  NO asking for your time or money.  Just getting fellow Muhlenberg College graduates (and almost graduates) together to get to catch up with each other.  Because of COVID, things are being done differently this year.  I personally have chosen to not host our annual Colorado THAW, but instead, I'm attempting to host the Alpha Nu Chapter THAW, regardless of where you live.  

 

I have gathered up over 600 names of Muhlenberg graduates that are part of Alpha Nu between 1950 and today.  Unfortunately, I do not have any where near everyone's email addresses.  

 

Since you are receiving this email, that means I do have your email address.  I am going to politely 'beg' you all for some help.  If I can get 6-10 volunteers to assist me in gathering up more email addresses (also cell phone and home addresses would be awesome as well), I can send out an email mailer to many more than those I have gathered up so far.  PLEASE volunteer.  I will provide you the names of alumni just for your graduating year, or a class or two above and below your year.  I will provide contact information that I do have, and what contact info I do not have and ask you to politely hunt these folks down to have them join THAW as well.

 

So far, we have 12 already signed up for THAW2021

Please mark the date in your calendar.  The Class of 1982 has been doing 2 ZOOM sessions every week since March 2020 to catch up, and give us something fun to look forward to.  I hope that this years THAW will bring you and your classmates closer together and hopefully follow the lead of The Class of 1982.
