Dear ZBackup users,

I would you like to warn you about bug that was found in GC [1].
This bug can cause ZBackup restore process failure due to repo corruption if garbage collection was ever interrupted.

All currently released versions containing GC feature was affected by this bug.
To prevent possible corruption of your ZBackup repo please do NOT use garbage collection or use ZBackup from stable-1.4 branch [2] where this bug was already fixed [3].

Depending on what step interruption of garbage collection happened, there could be a chance to restore your data if repo corruption occurred.

Currently there is only way to verify if you repo corrupted or not: make an attempt to restore every backup from repo.

I'll implement a tool that will attempt to recover corrupted repo and recovery how-to ASAP.
I
f you are affected by this bug, please move tmp/ directory outside of ZBackup repo to eliminate risk of more repo corruption.
tmp/ in corrupted repos may contain your data so please keep it safe until I'll release recovery tool.

I'm really sorry for this bug and delayed warning, I'll do my best to help you recover your data.
