How can I init & backup via ssh?

I'm sure there some fancy way to do this as zbackup doesn't recognize ssh://, maybe it is piping ssh or something but I've tried to no avail. Zbackup is easy to use but in theory very complex. Also the way you use zbackup brings me back to my unix roots.
