zbackup export and import

I am not clear on the documentation.  Does issuing a  "zbackup export" take an existing repository and clone it to a destination, similar to a direct rsync?  Apologies for my lack of knowledge, but I'm not exactly sure what the export and import commands do.

Exactly, just direct copy.

Thank you for the reply.  ZBackup is definitely the best program for backups for what I am doing.
