Yes mods compatible with Stern Pinball machines include all the necessary parts for installation. In cases where a mod utilizes a power connection that is already in use a power splitter may be required. See our Power Splitter Collection for options.

Pinball mods vary in installation difficulty. We recommend reviewing the installation information prior to purchase to ensure preparedness. A link to the product installation information is accessible from the product page. Additional questions can be submitted via our support contact.

Stern's Pro model is the lowest-tier option and includes base model features. Premium models are the mid-range option and often include playfield toys and features unavailable on the Pro. The Limited Edition model is produced in a set quantity and includes enhanced cabinet and backglass artwork and Stern-branded accessories. Visit Stern Pinball and view the game's feature matrix for more information.

Mods (short for modifications) are "edits" that can be applied to a video game by the user in order to enhance, change certain features, or in some cases add new content that isn't present in the original game.

Until 2013, modding in The Simpsons: Hit & Run wasn't popular in the sense that there wasn't a lot of content available that modified how the game behaved. The most popular edits of the game before 2013 being simple texture hacks created with Lucas' P3D Editor. However, with the start of Project Donut, the first major publicly released hack of Hit and Run, more documentation of how the game behaves has surfaced. Alongside this, Lucas Cardellini, the man responsible for creating the P3D Editor, has now returned to the modding scene and has created his very own launcher, which now allows players to play mods without overwriting any of the game's files.

Back in June 2007, Lucas Cardellini released a video on YouTube entitled "Main Textures Disabled in The Simpsons Hit & Run ". This marked the beginning of Lucas entering the Hit and Run modding scene, which marked the beginning of Lucas publicly releasing his tools, starting with Lucas Tweak (A now outdated program that is no longer recommended) and Lucas P3D Editor. These tools were specifically designed to edit Hit and Run and since then, have been used to create many mods for The Simpsons Hit & Run.

To Install Mods, you need to download Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher from the Donut Team website. Following that link will allow you to download the launcher as a ZIP archive. Extract the downloaded archive to a place that is easily accessible to you.

All you need to do now is open the launcher, select the path to your game executable, select the mods you want the game to load on start-up, and hit the "Launch" button in the bottom right corner. The game should now start with your selected mods.

New Blood Interactive CEO Dave Oshry shared a clip of Elden Ring gameplay that occurs when the game is absolutely riddled with mods. In the clip, you can see Homer running valiantly into battle with Shrek, who's riding atop Donkey while occasionally we can see Sonic zooming into picture.

It's a hilarious sight to be sure, and an absolutely goofy contrast to the darker, grittier nature of Elden Ring. It's all the work of modder Garden of Eyes, who's spent a lot of time creating some seriously impressive mods in the past, including battles between Bloodborne's Lady Maria and Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu. Garden of Eyes also created content where the masked NPCs in Elden Ring are seen unmasked.

This is far from the first time we've seen cartoon characters modded into horror and action games, of course. From Thomas the Tank Engine in Skyrim to Rick and Morty in Resident Evil 3 Remake, it's something of a rite of passage these days for a game to be utterly blasphemed by silly mods. And it's hilarious every single time.

Elden Ring is still a bit new, but you can bet as the days wear on we'll see a lot more of this type of thing soon enough. There are still plenty of cartoons to add to the Lands Between. *cough* Spongebob *cough*.
