Generate Report Failed

Hi all,

I am new to zap. I searched the posts here and I did not find

the same exact issue that I am currently facing.

Note: I was not having this issue when I had zap 2.10 running.

I am using zap 2.11.1

Windows 10

java version 17.0.1

When I generate reports, I get a warning

Failed to generate report: Exception evaluating OGNL expression:

I am attaching picture below of the error.

Also, here is an except of my log file:

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Where there any alerts when you tried to generate the report?

Was an Active Scan underway while you generated the report?

An issue with the Reports add-on when using Java 17, issue raised:

Thank you very much for letting me know that Java 17 has an issue

with zap. I will install a different version and try again.

Hi all,

After the tip from above (thc202), I downloaded java 16 and

reinstalled zap 2.11.1

I got the same warning on Failing to generate report:
OGNL expression: alertTree.children.hasMoreElements..

Then, I erased java16 and downloaded java 8,

and reinstalled zap 2.11.1.

Same warning

Please advise.

Are you sure it's using an older Java version? Based on the error
message it seems to still be using a newer one.

Could you check in Help > Support Info which Java version does it have?

Hi,

You are right. It was still using java 16

Once I made sure it uses java 1.8, generate report worked.
