firefox not work for ajax spider

I have installed on linux OWASP.
When I try to run a spider this message comes up. It has never happened to me on windows. Does anyone know how to solve it? thanks

First of all, do you have Firefox installed?

If not then you will need to install it.

If you have got it installed then fir some reason ZAP is not finding it - how did you install Firefox?

In ZAP open the Options dialog and select "Selenium" on the left hand side.

Then configure where the Firefox binary is in the relevant field.

Does the Ajax Spider then work with Firefox?

I have hit this issue on Windows when Firefox needs to update. Close ZAP, check Task Mgr to make sure there's no Firefox or Geckodriver processes hanging around. Lauch Firefox (from the start menu), let it update, navigate somewhere. Exit Firefox. Open ZAP, things should work nicely now.

Firefox is installed on Ubuntu. I poved a program with /usr/bin/ firefox starts. I still have these logs:

Yup as per the linked issues it's likely because Ubuntu moved to SNAP install for Firefox and Geckodriver isn't allowed to create the profile in /tmp

This is out of ZAP's control.

hello, with the command which firefox it returns me the correct path. If I open firefox with / usr / bin / firefox it opens correctly. Are there any other solutions? thanks :)

the problem is only with firefox. With chrome it doesn't give any problems. I am using the latest version of firefox, ZAP_2_11_1 on ubuntu

I installed firefox from the terminal. Could that be the problem? do I have to install it by downloading it directly from the site? however i am using ubuntu not windows.

unfortunately even today I have not been able to solve the problem. I deleted firefox and installed its snap. It still doesn't work. I have tried using Chrome and have not encountered any problems. If you can give me some indication to use firefox with owasp on ubuntu I would be grateful
