Chrome crashes immediately when starting from manual explore

Hi,

Doing manual explore and choosing Chrome, when pressing 'Launch browser' chrome starts and then immediately exits without any error message. 

Zap.log: 

org.openqa.selenium.SessionNotCreatedException: session not created: This version of ChromeDriver only supports Chrome version 93

Current browser version is 95.0.4638.54 with binary path C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

The Webdriver Add-ons update is not there.

The new version of Chrome webdriver is not available in the ZAP 2.10.0.

I am looking in the Add-ons.

You will need to upgrade to ZAP 2.11.0 - we are a relatively small team and can only support the latest version of ZAP.

Hi Simon, 

Sorry to bother you again, but the chrome still does not work.

I upgraded the Zap to 2.11.0. I didn't find any update available in Add ons for the web driver, so I guess it has been included in the package.

I checked the chromedriver.exe and geckodriver.exe versions in the OWASP ZAP windows folder. They have the old date.

Can you please advise?

ZAP 2.11.0 was generated 3 weeks ago so could not have included the new ChromeDriver :)

Can you perform a check-for-updates again?

Hi Simon, 

When I open ZAP there is OWASP ZAP 2.11.0 in the left upper corner is displayed,  and check for updates option on startup is selected in the Options. Still I don't see the web driver updates in the manage Add ons. There is windows web drivers 33.0.0 version. The update selected button is disabled. 

Had I to uninstall the previous zap version prior installing the new one?

Any other way to check for updates?

Hi, 

Just one question - for me, Chrome works okay with the   OWASP ZAP 2.11.0 but when I tried it with one of the latest prereleases (https://github.com/zaproxy/zaproxy/releases/tag/w2021-11-01 ), I got the error from this ticket - is this expected?

Please see Simon's response in this email chain. We have to work with the latest OWASP ZAP 2.11.0 version. I didn't try to work with prereleases.
