Run Zap tool on desktop applications

Hi All,

We work for a product based company and develop a desktop installer for 1 of our client. We need to run security tests on our end product. So, we were wondering if we can run ZAP tool on installers. We dont have a automation use case right now, manual execution would be just fine.

Hi Nitin,

ZAP is a tool for testing web applications. If your desktop tool provides a web based interface (HTTP/S, websockets) then ZAP will be able to test it, otherwise not.
