Hello ZAP Team !

I'm currently conducting a study on ZAP tools and I have few questions regarding the Packaged Scan option.

In the documentation it is mentioned that "The new Automation Framework will in time replace the Command Line and Packaged Scan options.

I was hoping you could clarify a few things to help me :

  1. Is the Packaged Scan still maintained at the moment ?
  2. Is it considered deprecated, or will it be deprecated in the near future (in the incoming months) ?
  3. Is there any timeline for its complete replacement by the Automation Framework ?

Thanks in advance for your help and clarification !

Best regards,

Alexis

Yes, but we do not plan to add any significant features to them.
  1. Is it considered deprecated, or will it be deprecated in the near future (in the incoming months) ?
No, we would like to deprecate them, but I cant see that happening in the next few months.
  1. Is there any timeline for its complete replacement by the Automation Framework ?
No, I was hoping we would have done that by now, but we have not been able to focus on it I'm afraid.

Cheers,

Simon
