Win Server 25 Migration

Hi I was tasked with moving our zap server from a 2019 to a 2025 and was wondering if you have any migration steps or information that I will need. I was told I will probably need to move our scripts and rebuild all of the task schedular task we have set up for it now. Anything would help.

It all depends on how you have set it up :)

Its probably easiest to migrate to the same ZAP and Java version, and then update those afterwards if you need to.

By default ZAP stores its config files in a default directory: https://www.zaproxy.org/faq/what-is-the-default-directory-that-zap-uses/

How will typically want to copy everything under there to the new machine.

But you will need to look at how you are using ZAP.

You can reference things like automation plans and scripts that are anywhere on that machine, or even a mounted network drive.

Do you think just zipping the whole thing and connecting the drive to the new server and unzipping it will work? We will just be using it the same exact way we are now with no change other than the server version.

Are you able to evaluate how effective this is easily, or are you new to this setup?

This is my second migration and that is how we migrated manage engine ELA so I think it should work if everything is in one location. I can let you know how it goes and the steps I used if that is what you are asking.
