ZAP Compatibility with Unix OS - IBM AIX 7.1

Hi All,

I was wondering, if anyone could help me find out the OWASP ZED Attack Proxy is compatible with Unix version - IBM AIX 7.1

Can ZAP tool be installed on IBM AIX 7.1 Unix operating system?

Hi Shivinder,

ZAP should be able to run on any system that support Java 7 and/or 8.
I've got it running on a Raspberry PI so I'd hope AIX is not a problem ;)
Give the Linux version a try and let us know if you have any problems.

To add a little more info, ZAP should work fine with IBM JVM, it did
with previous versions. [1] [2]

Hi Shivinder,

Does it provide an HTTP(S) interface?
If so then you can test it with ZAP.
How effective ZAP will be against it I have no idea as I've not used that technology.
Try it and see, and ask questions here if it doesnt appear to be as effective as you hoped.

Hi Simon,

Yes, we have a complete http interface implementation for this product. Kind of web application. We checked for veracode, it doesn't support this technology/ framework, so was wondering if we could get it scanned via ZAP tool. Will try it once... Shall keep you posted!
