How do I update the ZAP version?

I currently have version 2.16.1 installed. How do I update to version 2.17.0? Do I uninstall version 2.16.1 first? Or do I simply run the new version, and it will uninstall the old version and install the new one?

You may uninstall old version after downloading 17th version and than move zap.sh as link to /usr/bin or just /bin (considering you're on linux)

Or you can straightforward invoke zap.sh or zap.bat without uninstalling 16 version

If you give me more context I would like to help you further (especially on debian based linux distro)

I believe that on windows you can simply create a .lnk file on your desktop that leads to zap.exe or zap.bat from directory where it placed (should be something like ZAP_2.17.0)

or you can straightforward run it from here theoretically, I'll se on VM how it's done if none of the windows user will appear here sooner than me :)

The Windows installer should uninstall the older version before
installing the newer one.
