Binary is not a firefox excutable

Hello Team,

Greetings!!

I am trying to make use of Authentication Tester , when clicked on test unable to launch the browser. Applicable for all the browser. Kind request to help me resolve the issue.

I am able to launch Chrome and Firefox using CMD.

Error below:

Can you run Firefox from the command line if run in the same environment in which you are running ZAP?

Yes , Simon. 

When I try to launch Firefox from Zap UI as well it says provided browser not available.

Yes, I understand that, but its not what I was trying to get at :/

How are you launching ZAP?

Are you using a different user when launchine ZAP and Firefox?

If you are not launching ZAP from the command line then do that and see if it can then launch Firefox.

I am launching Zap via desktop application. 

No, both apps are launched as normal user and not as root.

Let me try to launch Zap via CMD line revet here.

Hi There,

Clear the Firefox binary path, it's currently pointing to the
WebDriver/geckodriver which is not a Firefox executable.

You usually don't need to specify that field, only if you want to use a
custom Firefox other than the one installed by default. (Or in the odd
case ZAP/Selenium does not find it.)

The issue has been solved.

I just re installed Firefox, post which I am able to launch the Firefox from the UI and Authentication tester.
