Chrome's traffic is not detected by ZAP Proxy

Hi all,

I'm trying to test my webapp on chrome but apparently ZAP Proxy is not detecting any traffic from Chrome.

My settings are as of below:

1. Chrome Version 45.0.2454.93 m (64-bit)

2. Firefox Version 42

3. ZAP proxy IP: localhost:8888

4. Chrome Proxy is pointing to localhost:8888 (with Bypass proxy for local addresses unticked)

5. OWASP ZAP cert installed as trusted root

6. Webapps hosted on tomcat: localhost:8088/page

Any websites that I accessed are not detected through ZAP.

When I tried it on Firefox, all the traffics to public websites and even yahoo mail with https are detected but not my local webapp. My webapp is not even hosted as HTTPS.

Could anyone help me out on this?

Thats strange.
Try stopping ZAP and then accessing sites via Chrome.
If you can still access them then its probably a problem with your Chrome settings.

Found out what's the culprit

The Automatically detect settings is enable thus it overwrites the manual proxy that points to ZAP Proxy.

Now another issue has risen, our network has to go through office proxy to go out. without going through the proxy, everything's blocked.
I've managed to get it to work on the localhost site after i put the localhost address in the outgoing proxy server list.
