How to save session?

HI,

I am quite new in the OWASP ZAP World.

I don't understand how to save a session. I understand that I need to persist the session but I don't know how.

Hi Ilan,

  all you have to do is click on "File"->"Persist Session" and choose the session's filename. After that, ZAP will save the session when you close its main window.

  When you want to go back to that session, you will click on "File"->"Open Session" and choose the desired session's filename.

I am working on setting up the zap proxy plugin with Jenkins. If that's your case as well you can save a session by checking the checkbox Save Session an specifying a file number. 

That's under the Jenkins > You job > Configure.

Hi.

That means the session was already saved/persisted.

If that's happening automatically and you don't want that, you can
change it in "Options" > "Database" > "Default option". [1]

Hi,
I have inserted an url and attacked that. I need to save the session. I know that we need to persist. But Persist session option is not highlighting. can anyone help me out. I am new to zap and security testing.

Hi,

Once you have persist ur session, then there is no need persist again, ZAP will automatically persist ur session.

when you go for close the session, just remind it if you want that session again then do not "exit & delete session"

just click on "Exit"
