Does zap update every build?

I'm using zap 2.8.0, everytime I build job, I saw "2731 [ZAP-daemon] INFO org.parosproxy.paros.extension.ExtensionLoader - Initializing Allows ZAP to check for updates", so I wondering that, ZAP will automatically update or I have to update by myself?

The update which I mentioned is update singature database. As far as I know the plugin not update version of ZAP such as upgrade to 2.9.0, is it correct?

ZAP can update the add-ons and itself:
https://www.zaproxy.org/docs/desktop/ui/dialogs/options/checkforupdates/

but the Jenkin plugin will use the ZAP package specified in the
configurations.
