Break doesn't work in HUD on 2.16.

Hello,

I've updated ZAP from 2.15 to 2.16 on ParrotSec 6.13 today, and with that version cannot set a break point in HUD anymore. The button still toggles, but the entire exchange just breezes through (while the pop-ups briefly come up), no chance to edit or actually intercept anything.

No issues in the "normal" ZAP GUI without HUD, breaks just fine there.

I've tried a fresh install (wasn't installed yet) on Kali 2024.4 (apt-get I believe), with the same result, break doesn't work in HUD.

On another ParrotSec version (also freshly updated to 6.13 this morning) where I still have 2.15, as ZAP came "out of the box" preinstalled on the OS, everything works as it should.

All OS' are setup in VirtualBox.

Any ideas? Any additional info I could provide? The phenomenon is hard to capture on a picture, but some log file perhaps?

We'll see if we can reproduce that locally - if we can then that should make fixing it much easier :)

Thanks for getting back to me!

Strangely enough, I cannot even replicate it myself anymore, works just fine on Kali today.

I do remember someone talking about a similar intermittent problem that seemed to come and go with HUD on the Hack the Box Discord a few weeks ago.

While it does not seem to correlate, for the sake of completeness also the Java versions as per the output after starting ZAP from the CLI

Kali: Java version 21.0.5

Parrot: 17.0.13

Hope that helps! Just started to familiarize myself with this tool, and liking it a lot so far!
