Can not load hud in anyway.

Hello,
I'm new to Zap but have used burp in the past.

using version 2.11.1

I can not, in anyway, load the HUD.

I'v installed it on both Kali 2022.1 and on windows 10, both updated to the most recent versions.

the default browser on linux is firefox (99.0, 64 bit)
When I open the preconfigured browser, it loads, but there is no hud. 

So I tried downloading it and using it on my windows 10 desktop, and I have the same result.

I have launched in from manual explore with enable hud enabled.
Nothing on either windows or linux.

Any help?

Have you actually navigated somewhere?

I hit this one of the first times I used HUD. It doesn't load on about:blank or other built-in browser 'pages'. Once you actually navigate somewhere it should come up.
