Introduction & Contribution Interest – Abdullah Zulfiqar

Hi everyone,
I’m Abdullah Zulfiqar, a Computer Science undergrad from Pakistan. I’ve recently started exploring ZAP and am eager to contribute to the project.

What I’ve done so far:

- Cloned and built ZAP locally.

- Submitted my first minor PR(#6950).

- Started reviewing the zap-extensions repo to understand how passive and active scan rules are implemented.

I am planning to pick up some "good first issues” and learn the architecture in more depth. If there are specific areas or modules that would benefit from extra help, I’d appreciate any pointers so I can focus my efforts effectively.

ZAP is a big project, and theres always lots to do :)

I have reviewed the Contributing Guide and I am particularly interested in coding and development. Specifically, I plan to start by working on ZAP extensions (add-ons) to get familiar with the ecosystem. I would love to fix some good first issues.

Are there any specific extensions that you would recommend a newcomer look at first or any that currently need extra attention?

Most of the ZAP functionality is now in "add-ons" so that doesnt narrow it down much ;)

Thanks for the links. I'll review these issues in detail so I have a better idea of what they involve.
