Hi all,

I would like to know if there are any philosophy events at Stellenbosch University taking place or discussion groups. It would be great to connect with fellow lovers of knowledge. I am a student here, but not at the philosophy department.

Dr. Vanhoutte is part of the Core Faculty at the Paris Institute for Critical Thinking, Paris, France. He is also a Research Fellow in the International Studies Group at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. He completed his PhD in philosophy (summa cum laude) at the Pontificia Università Antonianum, Rome, in 2008. He taught Reading Foucaultat this same institution to MA and PhD students. Vanhoutte is a prolific writer and the author of three monographs, several book chapters, conference proceedings and academic articles. He is a sought after presenter in Europe but he has also presented several seminars in South Africa, including UCT, SU and UNISA.
