The University of South Africa is advancing its Comprehensive Open Distance e-Learning (CODeL) tuition model by the appointment of Adjunct Lecturers on three year, fixed term contracts (cf.

Philosophy modules.
The undergraduate curriculum at the University of South Africa is comprised of the following modules:

PLS2601: Critical Reasoning

PLS2602: African Ethics and Politics

PLS2607: Philosophy of Science

PLS3701: Theoretical and Applied Ethics

PLS3702: Modern Philosophy

PLS3703: Advanced African Philosophy

PLS3705: Political Philosophy

PLS3709: Advanced Western Philosophy
The minimum academic requirement for these positions is a Master's degree in Philosophy, although a PhD in Philosophy would be preferable. Foreign qualifications should be provided with SAQA verification.
Closing date for applications is: 7th November 2025, and the date of assumption of duty will be 1st January 2026.
Remuneration is commensurate with the seniority of the position
