Final call for abstracts for the PSSA 2024 conference - submission deadline: 31 August

This is a final call for abstracts to be submitted for the 2024 conference of the Philosophical Society of Southern Africa which will be held in Stellenbosch at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS): Wed 17 January– Fri 19 January. The deadline for abstract submissions is this Thursday, 31 August 2023.

 

Any philosophical topic will be considered, and abstracts should be prepared for blind review with the author’s details in a separate document or specified in the email. Please send abstracts to pssaconfe...@gmail.com.

Information regarding fee structure and payment for the conference, as well as a list of suggested accommodation in Stellenbosch, can be found at https://www0.sun.ac.za/philosophy/pssa-page/.

The AI Ethics Research Group at the Centre for AI Research will host the first of its 2024 AI 4 Society Symposium Series the day before the PSSA conference (16 January). There is space for 12 papers only. While the preference is for a focus on ‘AI and Agency’ as a theme, any abstract on any theme related to AI from a philosophical point of view will be considered.
