I'm not an EAS user but wanted to confirm some assumptions for
exporting data from EAS.
At a high level, if Storage Manager is used to export email for
selected users from EAS, is it as simple as creating a rule
specifiying the user(s) and creating a copy-to-PST task?
Will this target the users email whether it was ingested into EAS via
archiving of their mailbox or through the Journal mailbox?
Is this how administrators normally export email from EAS for e-
discovery purposes?

If Storage Manager is used the PST is grouped in date folders not in
the original folder they were archived from.
If using the EAS Admin GUI the folder structure is maintained.
If using Discovery this is by far the best way for proper e-discovery.
It depends on the search as to where the archived item would be
captured if internal it could be captured more than once in the
archives of sender, recipient(s) and journal.

If you were wanting to export multiple EAS archives to multiple PSTs
TransVault would be a good product to use as it's multi-threaded and
would perform the task more efficiently with less administrative
overhead.
