“Mumba advised President Sata against appointing people from one region of the country into government in the interest of unity. Mumba said the appointment of Judge Lombe Chibesakunda who hails from Northern Province as Chief Justice was one such example.
Regardless of the advice we are giving the president, the Cabinet is too full of one region. This must be stopped by the president and even us from Northern province are saying don’t implicate us so that we look like we can’t reason with the rest of the country. It’s important that this government respects the fact that wisdom, intelligence comes from all areas of our country in order to build our nation….”
