The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility version is old and has some limitations, such as it can't remove Windows Installer, Microsoft Office, or other software. We strongly recommend using a professional Windows program uninstaller - EaseUS Todo PCTrans, which provides a free "App Management" feature to help Windows users simplify program uninstallation.

This tool is easy to use and full of features. It also scans for software problems and fixes them. It is always updated with the latest versions, so you can keep up with the times and meet your needs.

Microsoft has stopped the download of the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility tool. If you are downloading it for the latest version of Windows 11/10, there may be some compatibility or other problems, so you'd better choose professional uninstaller software. Windows 10 does not provide an Installer Cleanup utility. Windows Installer Cleanup utility is available for earlier systems. Microsoft replaced it with the Microsoft Fixit utility for newer systems but also discontinued it.

You should not delete files from C:\Windows Installer. The C:\Windows\Installer folder contains the Windows Installer cache, which stores important files for applications installed using Windows Installer technology.

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility ( -System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

I don't think that the system support worked for whatever reason but the file I attached was the only other thing that came with the download after I said yes to it changing my device. let me know if i need to do something different.

Please let me gather the following details in order for us to further understand the situation. Also, feel free to include additional information you may find relevant that can help us diagnose and identify the issue. Additionally, please be informed that this application is supported with unlocked processors (K- and X-series) only.

When I download the system support utility nothing pops up it just downloads and goes away, the only other thing that comes with it is the ssu zip file that I put in the reply above. I have a i7-13700kf

Unfortunately, we are unable to extract your system details from the submitted .zip file for Intel SSU. Both Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU) and Intel System Support Utility should install without issues if you have administrative rights. Kindly check if your BIOS settings are on default and try again. Also, please check Windows 11 Apps > Installed Apps if both Intel XTU and Intel SSU are found. If yes, uninstall both apps and try again. If the issue persists, we would also suggest to consider reinstalling your Windows OS.

We are checking in with you on the XTU issue to see if you have already performed the recommendations that we have provided or if you have any additional queries or require further explanation. Please know that we would be happy to assist you if you have any questions.

I understand that nothing happens when you click the SSU, ask for privileges, and accept them. Is the SSU application still open on the screen after launching the SSU.exe? Or does it exit? For a complete guide on how to extract the SSU log files, please refer to this link: ( -and-storage.html). You may directly download the latest version of Intel SSU here: ( -system-support-utility-for-windows.html), as I noticed that you are using an old version of Intel SSU.

In the meantime, kindly check if your BIOS settings are on default and try again. Also, kindly check the Windows 11 Apps, and go to Installed Apps if both Intel XTU and Intel SSU are found. If yes, uninstall both apps and try again.

It is a suspected issue with the Windows installer package that prevents the script from running properly. This can happen due to various reasons, such as damaged files, incompatible programs, low memory, driver problems or corrupted Operating system. Even the Intel SSU, is not generating the proper results.

I hope you are doing well. After further investigation, unfortunately we are unable to reproduce the issue with our i7-13700KF. However, since the Intel SSU is unable to run a normal report, which means it is affected by the Windows service as well. Since we are unable to collect the logs of your system via the Intel SSU, we would like to request a windows system information screenshot. "A problem with windows installer package" came up in general searches on the web, so it is a general message to some windows installer issue.

Let us know the results as soon as you are able if you are able to install the tools properly. If installing the Intel XTU still fails but the Intel SSU was able to generate a proper report. Please share with is the system scan/logs from SSU and we will further investigate the issue.

Thank you for the update. Since you have tried another processor, please be informed this is mostly like a Microsoft concern when it comes to opening executable files. This is a sign that there is something wrong with the computer's operating system. It's more like of a software issue rather than a hardware issue.

Also you've just mentioned playing Victoria 3, may I know what issues are you facing when trying to run or playing the game? Are you getting any kind of error? Please describe any issues you are having this game.

I hope you are doing well. Since we have not heard any feedback regarding our previous post, we will close this inquiry now. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
