I'm trying to create a Tabata or HIIT timer with pygame. Essentially I want to count up and down in seconds and display the time either elapsed or remaining. I modified code I found here -Countdown-1237-.html

First I'm not sure this is the best way to go about this. Eventually I will want to have rounds where the up and down counters repeat. My biggest problem is that after about 2 minutes the time is off. So true elapsed time might be 2:00 minutes but the interval timers are a second or two behind. It continues to get worse as the timer continues to run where the displayed time continues to be n seconds behind true elapsed time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've seen people use pygame.time but not sure that gets me any closer to what I need to accomplish

Tabata training is one of the most popular forms of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). It consists of eight rounds of ultra-high-intensity exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off interval. For a more customizable version of this application, see my other app: Fitness Timer-------------This work is my hobby and passion and I do it for free for the community. Ive been a long time samsung fan almost everything in my house is samsung. Ive always had samsung phones. I decided to finnally get into the gps watch to track my runs an hikes. Also having a timer on your wrist for work rest cycles for circuit training or interval's is key and honestly i was getting jelous of all my work colluges running the workouts with their watches. So i purchased a active 2. Ive spent nearly 3 hours researching the web trying to figure out how to set up a timer or find an app for it. With no prevail three hours combing reddit. Couldve found the timer on a garmin in five minutes. Soo does this "active watch" designed for althetes and fitness enthusiast really not have this simple feature? Im ready to abandon all samsumg products at this point from my frustration of something so simple. So do i really have to make that terrible terrible choice an finally turn to apple products or am i really just this bad at technology?

Gymboss Timers are programmable interval timers perfect for timing a single interval, or multiple intervals, and repeating them once or as many times as you wish. The interval timer mode allows timing of any one interval, or two different intervals insequence. These intervals can then be repeated once, or as many times as you select, up to 99 times.

When I first got the timer, I was teaching outdoor Nike Training Club Live classes in Victoria Park, amongst others. I hit up Victoria Park and I think everyone was secretly pleased to see I had a method of keeping track of time.

As soon as they heard the beep to signal the end of each 20 second section of Tabata they stopped by themselves! I loved using the interval timer as it took just a minute or so to set up once I got the hang of it.
