We built the most-advanced AI for helping developers at the time, but it fell short of the 10 improvement required to break through because the state of the art for ML on code is not good enough. You can see this in Github Copilot, which is built by Github in collaboration with Open AI. As of late 2022, Copilot shows a lot of promise but still has a long way to go.

With highly efficient capture and trimming tools, VideoStudio knows how to make a great first impression. Like many programs, it offers a one-button feature for transferring DV tape to DVD. You can also, however, scan a DV tape for scene changes at roughly 8X speed (it worked through a 45-minute test tape in just under 6 minutes). Once that process is finished, you can select and capture just the scenes you want, which I found to be a great convenience. Anyone who's burning every single second of footage they shoot to DVD is either creating some very tedious DVDs or is a great in-camera editor the likes of which hasn't been seen since Alfred Hitchcock. When importing a large file into your project, VideoStudio can split scenes with time code or by scene changes, and it's one of the few editors with a multitrim tool that lets you quickly cut out sequences from inside a larger file.
During my tests, I worked with DV and HDV footage. On my older 3.2-GHz HP xw4100 workstation, working with native HDV footage was slow and painful, so I switched into VideoStudio's proxy mode, which encodes and substitutes lower-resolution video files in the timeline for the original source HDV footage. Though it takes a while to create the proxies (about 3 hours 20 minutes for a 60-minute video file), editing is very responsive with them, and of course, VideoStudio renders the ultimate output files using the source HDV footage. On an HP Pentium D system and Dell Core 2 Duo system, however, it was responsive enough to edit in native HDV. In performance trials on the HP xw4100, VideoStudio turned out to be the quickest app we've seen, producing our 12-minute test clip to DVD-compatible MPEG-2 format in 19 minutes 35 seconds, compared with 19:46 for Premiere Elements and 20:18 for Pinnacle Studio 11.
