Howdy y'all! It's me, Zachary, the guy who makes Garbanzo Quest :D. It's been a while since my last newsletter! Trust me I've been working very hard on making Garbanzo Quest the best game it can be, the next Early Access version (0.7) is nearing completion. At Rochester Game Fest this Saturday you will be able to play the new version early! I'll also be selling stickers if you want any! PROGRESS

There's a few things I have to add, but the majority of the new stuff for this next version is behind me. Once that's completed all I gotta do is lots of testing and refining! 

This update is a huge jump in quality and I'm really excited to get it out to the people. There's not just new stuff, pretty much everything has been improved at least a little bit. My standards for art and level-design are much higher, I've come to the realization that sometimes something just doesn't work and that's okay! You just gotta scrap it and try something different. I don't wanna waste anyone's time with subpar stuff. It's a wonderful thing when someone wants to spend their time playing my silly game and I take that very seriously.

I'm planning on this being the final big update before the full release! The thought of the game being done-done is both exciting and scary. I've taken a bit of a risk committing to working on this game full-time. It'll be a bit of a decision day once the game is truly done, I almost don't want it to come, I love working on Garbanzo Quest! What will I do when it's done? If Garbanzo Quest doesn't do well enough financially, it may be the first and last game I get to make! I'm fully aware of that reality, so I'm gonna make sure I really give it my all to make Garbanzo Quest the best representation of what I can do and to enjoy the time I get to work on it.
