Want to try zabcon out.  However, getting major errors:

I am running an up to date Arch Linux x86_64 system (as of 2013 Nov 11)

Unfortunately, I don't know much about ruby so not sure where to start troubleshooting.

I have the same errors on CentOS 6.4 and Fedora 18.

Any advise on how to troubleshoot this? Or is it a bug?

I never got it working.  I ended up using the python zabbix api: 

https://github.com/lukecyca/pyzabbix

It took a little it of fiddling, and lots of reading through the docs on the zabbix api, but I finally got everything in my environment working.  This is basically an extension to the zabbix api, so there isn't much functionality added really.

Hi There,

Still the same error on Ubuntu 14.04.1 (3.13.0-35-generic) with zabcon (0.0.392) & zbxapi (0.3.8)

I wanted to use this in order to disable zabbix selectively per host (prior to host backup) & enable it again later.

Any other suggestions? Apparently this bug is active for almost a year now?
