Yes, it seems to me that the topic of the posting history of uses is off-topic
in all the groups it was posted to. And posting off-topic messages in multiple
newsgroups fits the definition of spam.
So far I haven't seen any on-topic replies at all. Most of them have been
flames, or irrelevant meta-discussions.

Since the post was on-topic in the groups in which I posted it, I hoped for
(though recent experience of usenet has not led me to expect) more on-topic
discussion.
