Dear reader!
My name is Kerstin Svensson and I am trying to carry through my graduate
paper for a B.A.-degree in criminology in Sweden. The exampaper is built on
a study using a Delphi-inquiry. The objective of the study is an attempt to
forecast the direction and form that criminal activity against High- and
Information-Technology might take over the course of the next five years.
The study is using the Delphi-technique to generate a possible picture of
the problems. The Delphi technique is constructed to obtain a consensus
opinion from a group of participants. The gathering of information is being
done both from professional or non-professional persons working or acting
in the selected problem-area.. The technique has the participants to
complete several related questionnaires.
The disposition of this study is in three parts. The first part consist of
nine "open ended" question which all participants are asked to give there
opinions about. The second part is a questionnaire created from the answers
given by the participants in the first one. In this the group are asked to
agree/disagree with information on the questionnaire The second
questionnaires responses is then analyzed to determine the consensus of the
group. This consensus is further determine in a third, and a last,
questionnaire.
Participants in this study remain anonymous to each other during the
research process. This is a precautionary measure so the information is
neither skewed by personalities nor other factors.
I am looking forward to receive your participation!
