Can anybody tell me about any schools or comprehensive programs to study at-home for the United States Medical Licensing Exam? (The USMLE?) I have looked through the "First Aid" book and I want to know if there are other resources out there that might not be covered.

I've only heard of two outfits, one is Gold Standard and the other is Postgraduate Medical Review Education (PMRE), which provide material for reviewing at home. PMRE's been around for 23 years, but Gold Standard is about one-third of the cost for a better-sounding tape (at least a better-sounding sample.)

Also, if anybody's used any really good materials and has a short syllabus, I'd sure appreciate it.

Or if anybody can definitely NOT recommend something, also helpful.

Sincerely appreciative,
