This letter is sent to you in the hope that you will agree with
it?s
contents and forward it to President Mandela, his colleagues and
every
person you have on your e-mail address list. Perhaps if the President
hears
enough voices he will finally respond to the massacre and plunder of
his
people. Send this message to the addresses below as many times as you
wish.
The more messages they receive the louder our voice.

Mr. President and members of parliament
While the government are away solving the problems facing Zaire the
people
of South Africa are being tortured, shot, stabbed, kidnapped,
raped,
hijacked and subjected to the pillage of the growing criminal subculture
in
our once hopeful fledgling democracy. Your constituency are
regularly
attacked in their homes, cars and businesses. There is no safe place.
Even
barbed wire, high walls and electrified fences have failed to
provide
sanctuary.
We implore you to act now before more brilliant and talented people
lose
their lives or flee in fear. The very fabric of our society is being
ripped
apart while our highest ranking police officer squabbles with the
minister.
The money we spend on taxes that should be used to nurture and protect
our
new found freedom has been squandered by free spending officials on
useless
projects ... yet you protect them from the anger of the people.
Mr. Mandela it is time to return to the people and hear their
voice.
Pregnant women should not be targets! Brilliant economists do not
deserve
to die in a random act of greed and vengeance! Young men and women
should
not have to bear arms in a futile attempt to protect life and property!
It is time to mobilize every possible resource to stem the flood
of
criminal activity. The National Defense Force is ready to fight this
war
within our borders. The police force is ready to do better given
more
financial support and less bickering. The South African people are ready
to
rally behind you at your call.
Please give us our lives back and stop the carnage!
Yours faithfully
A concerned South African
