If you are a Unisa student and have www access, check out
http://sol.unisa.ac.za/

On your first entry, you will need your student number as a user id; you
choose your own password.

You get access to discussion groups, your assignment results (date
received, date sent, marks), and email contact with lecturers.

Coming online soon are the library catalogue and lists of study material
sent to you. The aim is to have assignment sending and receiving online,
but this will only come later.

This stuff is very useful, considering the current state of our postal
service.

If you don't have www access, but have newsgroup access, you can still
join the discussion groups. The news server is sol.unisa.ac.za

To make this service more successful, more students need to make use of
existing features and suggest more.
