my name is Graeme, I live in Gauteng and I need help badly.
I have written a weather program that is suitable for schools,
farms, sports grounds or sports occasions or anyone who wants to watch
the weather.
I have built prototypes of all my sensors, a digital anemometer, a
wind direction sensor, a digital rain guage, wet and dry bulb
thermometers, all of which calculate relative humidity,
wind chill factor, discomfort levels, wind speed down to 2 km/h, wind
direction & records provailing winds and all other relevant
data, produces a daily printout of the weather conditons, also, it
shows the position of the sun and moon and shows sunrise and sunset
times.Time of maximum temperature & humidity, minimum temperature and
humidity amongst other stats.
The software is suitable for PC's and has a pleasant graphical user
interface, two different types of display mode and telemetry support
if needed. The display supports, VGA, RGB AND PAL Video, so it would
be suitable for TV presentation at a sports event, for instance
(cricket, rugby ?, hello SABC ? M-NET ? ) as it would be easy to
interface to in the outside broadcast environment.
The program becomes more valuable with age because of the data it
collects, a farmer would be able to check back on his weather
conditions for planting, etc. Schools could build data networks
through telemetry and compare data, the uses are endless.
This project has taken all my time and as a result, my marriage
failed, I have run out of money, and time to develop this any further,
I have more sensors to build, like a barometric sensor, and a light
intensity meter ( hours of sunlight ) I have ideas that could make it
a huge success, for instance, it has voice support, so, at an airport,
it could relay REAL TIME weather on to an airband channel for pilots
to get the weather NOW, not a recorded version a couple of hours old.
It even has global positioning support for a mobile rig so that
crucial data is changed to correct things like sunrise and sunset or
UTC time or even to find where it is, in a balloon or bouy for
instance.
This is a complete working product, all the research and 90 % of
development are done, I can demonstrate to any serious investor/doner
at any venue.
If you are in a position to invest on a profit sharing basis or could
donate funds to allow me to complete this project, or maybe you could
go into production for me, I would seriously like to hear from you and
demonstrate. All my sensors are unique , I have never seen the
approach I have used for my anemometer used anywhere else, only one
moving part, and two of my sensors SHOULD be patented but insufficent
funds hamper my progress here.
All the sensors are designed with a harsh marine environment in mind.
The PC will operate without human intervention for months if
neccessary.
Can you help ? e-mail me , PLEASE,
Graeme.
