The Company Therapist is a new web entertainment and a hyperfiction
collaborative writing experiment. We are looking for writers to
contribute as "patients".
We are excited about the site because we feel that we have solved a
troubling problem in collaborative fiction--that of the various voices of
the authors being a cacophony as opposed to a harmony. By writing a
character undergoing therapy, each writer's unique voice is highlighted
and contributes nicely to the whole.
Please check out the site and see if you might like to contribute as a
writer. It's not about monetary compensation for anyone, including us.
The writers do find some personal and artistic satisfaction through their
published contributions and, while the site is extant, they will be able
to point friends and prospective employers to a site with a sample of
their writing.
The Company Therapist is intended to both be an entertainment for the
reader and to provide a site where writers can collaborate on a project
and have their work published as a unity, but still keep their unique
voice and write on subjects which are of personal interest. The Company
Therapist's format can embrace diversity without losing itself. This is
supposed to be a site where writers can exercise their craft, get
feedback on their work, and get published in an interesting forum.
And if you don't want to write for the project, perhaps you'll consider
being a reader.
The site launches in August. A preview can be seen off our home page at
