Notes from December meeting

All,

Last week we had our December meeting.
Larry Simmons, John Ganci, and I were present.
All others had work or other obligations.

The work on zCobol and the NIST test suite
is temporarily lying idle. No progress.

Abe suggested we might want to create an
encompassing class for running various z390
components without going back and forth
to the script level. Hoping to increase speed
and avoid repeated initialisation. John mentioned
that each component has its own init, it's
not self-evident this can be made to work
properly when calling them from a single
entry point.

John mentioned he's working on issue 714,
relating to the management of load modules that
are dynamically loaded/deleted.
He's also working on an issue related to getmains
for zSort and he discovered an issue with return
code not being passed correctly to the caller when
a module is called using the LINK macro (issue 720).

Abe indicated he'll continue to work with Larry
and Bob to get them up to speed.
