Dear All.

Attached you'll find some very interesting extracts about a new finding and proceeding in drinking water research with the necessary links, included also meanings and queries of other people. It represents a world novelty and also your works could profit from the new system. Available on request is also an original report about the new findings and the reason for its realisation, if of your interest.
To avoid dry going sources and to obtain drinkingwater you should use your existing and clean groundwaters of the zone which generally are not known at all.

Query:

How do you do it?
A description of the method or a reference to a publication would be
appreciated.
I have doubts that by just using topographic maps "true hydrologic
charts" can be provided.
Geology and aquifer do not always follow topography.
Topographic maps usually don't show geology (e.g. type of bedrock, type
and thickness of quaternary surface cover)
In some cases there will be more than one aquifer level.

RE: from hydr...@t-online.de

Dear Frank,

you are right to be astonished about. This is a completely new development inner a time of 30 years with many trials in this time to be save for customers in all countries, in different geologic sorroundings.
A first time shown to the public in October 2002 during the International Conference on Urban Hydrology for the 21st Century in Kuala Lumpur / Malaysia.
( ICUH 2002 )
The charts shown are "hydromaps" and not geologic ones. Specialiced to the traces of waterways, the geology does´nt matter in this case and do absolutely not need to be part of the research. My customers needs water and not known geological reports. Hydromaps are equipped with the traces of all existing subterranean reserves, catchment areas and the subsurface waterways of a county (in X-Ray manner) or an interal country, also with eventually crossing waterways on different levels. See the fotos on the Internet, may you discover such ones. A customer can choose what he really wants and where he wants his wells. ( with my consultation for not waisting the environment).
You are right, geology and acquifer do not always follow surface topography, but mostly in contrary directions, following my experience mainly when hill areas. This is confusing research companies. Because during the times, many thousands of years, the surface had been modeled but not the subsurface. In case of earthquakes the new waterways will be traced the same. When the assigned wells must be drilled, the type of rock and the thickness in the maggior cases are known or does`nt matter for the drilling company, because gets the necessary dates before. As you know, every country is different in the world, equals are very rare and eventually needed dates are available.
A countries topographic maps are converted to hydromaps. The traces of the subsurface reserves - catching areas - waterways are introduced supplementary to the existing maps, not creating new charts again. It is cheaper and has the benefit to contain already the needed roads and ways of access, other to level indications for the tubing connections asf.. In more every hydromap is accompanied by a supplementary hydrochart with the technical dates for every well proposed. Eventually also sections if needed. The maps are edited generally in 1 : 5000 if possible and results very precise.
How my proceedings occours is not a thema of this publication, because too many years and research had been needed to obtain such results, aside from the financial part to create a world novelty and to cut down the cost of drinkingwater research and drilling. This was the aim.

Water - Drinking Water - read a very interesting "Extract" about a new methode in water research, a world novelty also for arid / desert countries.

To all the interested people, suffering by water shortage or infected waters, in industry - towns - agriculture or rural communities / homes.

Metering with electric resistivity survey is one of the methods to obtain water / groundwater (prospecting), but it's not precise enough in the maggior cases. It's work intensive and can last some days to "read" at the end some incertain results. Because acquifers must be centered precisely, mainly when often small sized.
Same defects are encountered with p.ex. the known ABM SAS 300 Terrameters, made in Sweden , operating with Radio long waves. These are known as the best available worldwide. I tried in proper many methods during the last decennials, but all such methods considers the "findings" as a supposition only and are not able to say you really where is to find exactly the source. You do need water not only in spring time, but maggiorly in summer and autumn it must be available. Otherwise such metods cannot say you how large, deep, capacity and quality asf. of the waters found. What is worse, you do'nt know the provenience of the water to prevent eventually future treatments.
Because there are no true hydromaps existing in hydrology, showing the substructure / the underground waterways, assuring where are the reserves and catchment areas, from where the waters are flowing to prevent the mineral absorption during her often very long underground ways.
True hydromaps you cannot get from a staten institution or from an University worldwide (only confusing average ones), because till now hers are not able to trace such charts precisely. This is the biggest defect / lack in todays hydrology generally.

Well, to shorten the discussion about, I had some queries with this people about her incapacity to solve such problems, loosing also a lot of money.
Seen that I worked many years in my life as a research engineer, time ago I could resolve the above mentioned problems: for a first time I trace (on request) true hydromaps to show to a customer what he has to expect in the substrate, all the reserves, catchment areas and waterways of a county. For this there is needed no visit on site, I need from the customer only the detailed topographic map of the zone.
In a second time naturally is needed a visit on site to assign requested wells on the lands site and to complete all with all the needed dates as width, depth, capacity, average quality asf. inner a few days. The land owner can also choose what he really wants and is informed about the future possibilities in water development of the zone, to avoid dry seasons during the year. You can consider the method as a world novelty, to end to loose money in well drilling and other numerous inconveniences. To a technical experience and exploration of 30 years you can trust.

In the last years I had to assign numerous wells in arid and also desert countries to experience my precise findings. Pls. see my Internet link with sample maps under:
