Hello,
I'm competing in a quiz. One of the questions is from who is the next
quote: Contemporary writers for example [...] no longer listen to critics, English critics, who have something to say about their language. Scottish writers nowadays decide for themselves what is good.
They no longer let their ears hing to London's literary establishment."
Note that this is my own translation of a part from an acceptance speech or first reaction from a literary prizewinner. For the quiz I need to know who has said this on what occassion and in which year.
Hopefully someone can help me with this one
