Hello there!

When windows 98 starts up on my pc I get a screen of nonsense, most of which
is followed by 'bad command or file name'. I had the kakworm virus a few
months ago, and had to edit the autoexec.bat file to remove the vrius
completely, so I'm not sure if this is related to that.
I've checked the autoexec.bat file again, and there are several entries as
follows:-

After c:\windows I have the following 'commands':-

c:>n server!
(bad command or file name)

c:> banid removeid listid writeid logaddress log serverinfo localinfo
showinfo user users dl file ptrack addip removeip listip writeip dropclient
spawn newsedents *i :b
(bad command or file name)

Is any of this relevant? Can I delete any of this stuff?

Many Thanks,

Melissa

Yes.

The autoexec.bat is still a (not very often used) feature to execute
programs at boot time of NT.
